Tips and Tricks for Vegetable Container Gardening Enthusiasts

About March 22, 2008

For those who want to grow their own vegetables and don’t have a lot of space or don’t want to dig up their back yards to have a beautiful and productive vegetable container garden.

Taryn K is a vegetable container gardening enthusiast who lives and works in New York City. Her tiny three room apartment leaves her few assests in space, land and sunlight. Still she had an urge to grow things, so she decided to take up container gardening. She now hopes to share her experiences as well as items of container gardening interest through the Vegetable Container Gardening Blog.

Hi there! WordPress found your site for me after I entered a post about trying to find the right soil mixture for my artichokes. I’m glad to find your tips, thank you!

I’m in San Francisco’s Sunset District which has a cool, foggy, marine climate. I started a crop of artichokes from seed in a little greenhouse my husband built for me and so far have got them all in pots. Eventually I plan to put some in huge pots and give away others; they get really big as I’m sure you know. I’m also growing tomatoes in pots in the greenhouse, which is the only way you can do it out here in the fog belt.

Anyway, nice to find your blog and I’ll check back!
